Karen L. - "We stared at a blank wall for years, wondering what to do with it. You face it when you walk in the front door, and I felt that it was too small of a hallway for anything large hanging on the wall. We didn't want to just paint it, so someone had the brilliant idea to cover the 4 1/2' x 7' wall with a mural. We have a 1790 Colonial house and wanted something appropriate to the history of the house. With Scott's help, a few photographs of period paintings and a few rounds of his sketches, we agreed on a sketch that would depict our house with a few details from the yard. The colors are soft greens and blues with highlights from the house (red window trim) and yard (brick driveway). With the addition of geese flying overhead and my favorite crescent moon rising, we love it.
